2009 Grand Honoree
The OHH/CHS Alumni Association Board of Directors voted at their monthly meeting on May 19, 2009 to name Robert Sanger, Class of 1950 as the 2009 Grand Honoree. Bob has been a member of the Board of Directors for several years and served in the offices of president and treasurer and is currently the assistant treasurer.
Sanger was on the faculty at West Virginia Institute of Technology for 36 years, beginning in 1958 as an instructor in the printing department and retiring as Dean of Tech’s College of Business and Economics. He is emeritus Professor of Management and continues his contact with Tech, serving on a printing department advisory board. Bob is a graduate of West Virginia Tech, West Virginia University and did post graduate study at the University of Kentucky. He was honorably discharged from the U. S. Army medical corps in 1954.
Bob and his wife Nancy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 30 of this year. They make their home on Jones Avenue in Oak Hill.
